A savoury recipe mix with onion and black pepper for a quick and easy savoury mince dish.
For OUR RECIPE you will need …
1 sachet Schwartz Savoury Mince Recipe Mix
1 tbs oil
1 onion, diced
450g (1lb) extra lean beef mince
2 sticks celery, diced
2 carrots, peeled and diced
300ml (½ pint) water
1. Heat oil, fry onion, mince, celery and carrot for 5-6 minutes.
2. Mix sachet contents with water and add to pan.
3. Bring to the boil, cover and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
4. Serve with creamy mashed potatoes.

Delicious topped with pastry for a warming minced beef pie.
Microwave directions for 800W – Place oil, mince, celery, onions and carrots in a microwaveable dish and cook covered on full power for 12 minutes, stirring half way through. Drain excess liquid. Blend sachet mix with the water and cook on full power for 10 minutes uncovered, stirring half way through.
This finished recipe is suitable for freezing. Transfer the cooked recipe to a dry clean container, leave to cool prior to sealing. Place in the freezer for up to 1 month, for best results.
Defrost thoroughly overnight in a refrigerator. Transfer to a saucepan and heat gently over a medium-heat, stirring occasionally, until piping hot throughout. Alternatively, place in a microwaveable bowl, cover loosely with cling film and re-heat in the microwave (800W) on full power for 4½-5 minutes, stirring half-way through, or until piping hot throughout.
