This vibrant and spicy dish includes the fiery kick of chilli combined with the fresh flavour of coriander seed and the woody and aromatic flavour of thyme.
- 1 tbs olive oil
- 450g (1lb) minced beef
- 1 red pepper, diced
- 125g (5oz) celery, sliced
- 3 tsp Schwartz Perfect Shake Cajun Herb & Spice Blend
- 125g (5oz) long grain rice
- 475ml (16fl oz) water
- 1 bunch spring onions, sliced
- Schwartz Sea Salt to season
STEP 1Heat the olive oil in a large frying pan and fry the mince for 6-8 minutes until browned. Drain any excess liquid.
STEP 2Toss in the pepper and celery and cook over a medium heat for 2-3 minutes.
STEP 3Sprinkle in the Perfect Shake Cajun and add the rice, cook for 1 minute, stirring frequently.
STEP 4Stir in the water, bring to the boil, cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes until the rice is cooked. Stir in the spring onions and serve.
